Benny Benassi enlists David Guetta on ‘Satisfaction’ remix
To celebrate 20 years since its release, Guetta reworks the classic
Electro house pioneer Benny Benassi is back celebrating 20 years since the release of his hit 2002-released track ‘Satisfaction’.
Enlisting David Guetta to take on remix duties, Benassi’s original track gets a rework from the French DJ two decades after its release in the early noughties.
“I actually first remixed the track as a sound design exercise for myself, but I liked the sound of it so much that I started playing it in my sets. The reactions of the crowd were so crazy that I had to release it,” Guetta said on the remix.

After the release of ‘Satisfaction’ in 2002, the track shot to fame and has since been heralded as one of the first pioneering tracks of electro house. The single, which appeared as the lead track on his album ‘Hypnotica’, sold 382,000 units in France alone.
“I’ve known David for over 20 years. I remember I would get messages from resident DJs in Ibiza who heard David playing Satisfaction at Pacha two decades ago,” Benassi said.
“So he was definitely one of the very first supporters of the original version. And when he played me his initial idea for this new version, I totally loved it.”

The remix flips the synth-heavy original for today’s main stage adding an even higher energy twist on the classic, still leaving in the recognisable synth hook that shot the track to success in the noughties.
“He’s made it current again, it’s very Ibiza with a really great intro and it’s perfect for today’s DJ sets. I played it out for the first time in Mykonos and people went crazy. Everyone was asking me what it was. I am really excited about this collab,” Benassi added.
