Dave, FKA twigs and TAAHLIAH among AIM Independent Music Awards 2022 nominations

The AIM Independent Music Awards 2022 has announced its nominations, with winners from previous years Dave and FKA twigs among those with the most nominations.

Other names who have been nominated for awards include, Knucks, Overmono, Kokoroko, Ross From Friends, Jeshi, Nia Archives, Anz, Emma-Jean Thackray and many more.

Acts with double-nominations include Dave, FKA twigs, Knucks, Nova Twins, Children of Zeus, Taahliah, Jeshi and Nilüfer Yanya.

This year’s awards includes a new category, Best Independent EP/Mixtape which has FKA twigs, Joy Orbison, Surya Sen, TAAHLIAH and Wesley Joseph nominated.

More electronic and rap artists are being recognised in the Best Independent Track category with a shortlist including Anz, Overmono, Knucks, Dave and more.

The award ceremony will take place on September 28 at the Roundhouse in London.

There is also a publicly voted category for Best Live Performer, which you can vote for here.
