25 years of Human Traffic to be celebrated at Glastonbury with Arcadia and Cornish Arms takeovers

The 25th anniversary of Iconic '90s rave classic Human Traffic will be celebrated with two separate takeovers at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Written and directed by Justin Kerrigan, the 1999 coming-of-age film chronicles a night out in the UK rave golden era — from the pub to the club to the afters — and stars John Simm, Shaun Parkes, Danny Dyer, Lorraine Pilkington, Andrew Lincoln and more.

To mark 25 years since its release, this year has already seen a re-release on Apple TVApple TV, as well as news of a planned sequel that will reference Brexit, according to Kerrigan.

This year's Glastonbury festival will see two separate Human Traffic takeovers, with the first set to take place in the early hours of Saturday morning at The Park's ale pub The Cornish Arms.

In collaboration with Blended Artists, Loop Dee Loop will play a "Human Traffic set" from 1:AM to 2:AM, with festival-goers being encouraged to "wear your hi-vis."

The following night, crowds following Arcadia's roaming The Bug stage can catch a "Human Traffic x Save Our Scene" takeover from 5:30:PM to 9:PM — featuring DJ Boring, Sim0ne, Shosh b2b Zero, Dan Shake and Loop Dee Loop.

The collaboration with Save Our Scene aims to address the drastic changes to the UK’s nightlife industry occurring in 2024, with the rapid collapse of the UK’s pubs, clubs and bars perhaps spelling an end to the youthful hedonism and culture explored in Human Traffic.
