The Best DJ Mixes Of The Year 2026 So Far - March - Mixmag.net

Smokin' Jo ‘Live from The Meat Rack’

We won’t be blessed with a trip to Worthy Farm this summer (sorry to remind you) so we need to pray to the rave gods for any tidbits that can help inject some of that Glastonbury magic into our lives in this fallow year. One such blessing landed this month in the form of a set recording from legendary house and techno DJ Smokin’ Jo praying in The Meat Rack, AKA “NYC Downlow’s slutty little sister!” in naughty corner Block9. The two-hour mix is a magical mix of classic house and disco, primed for peak festival hours euphoria.

Marlon Hoffstadt AKA DJ Daddy Trance ‘The Cover Mix’

How did Marlon Hoffstadt, reluctant tech-house hitmaker and Berlin outsider, become Daddy Trance, world-conquering DJ helming the biggest festival stages on the planet? This mix gives us a clue, showcasing the old-school trance sounds the German artist grew up on and brought forth into the stylistic shift which has seen his career skyrocket.

Fold + SP:MC ‘Cav Empt Tape’

Name a more iconic duo than Japanese streetwear brand Cav Empt and British bassweight DJs? The DJ uniform of choice has been bleeding into music via sonics as well as sartorial drip over the years with its cassette tape mixes, and this latest from Fold and SP:MC is another gem, delving into Fold’s love of dark garage and bass sludge before the word grime answered “Wot Do U Call It?” with a beloved MC toasting over the tracks for that proper old skool atmosphere. Strictly for the hardcore.

MABEL ‘MARICAS Mix N.91’

Despite it hilariously being uploaded with the hashtag “ambient”, Buenos Aires DJ MABEL hits the 140 BPM mark thick and fast in opening moments of her edition of Barcelona femme collective  MARICAS’ mix series. She barely dips below that point through its hour and nine minute run time, utilising an unrelenting array of pounding trance techno, pumping Latin pop edits, frenetic acid and turbo-charged electro to get hearts racing. Looks like we’ve got a comedian over here.

Faster Horses ‘The Mix 097’

Fresh out of the gate with his spot on Mixmag’s Breakthroughs DJs of 2025Faster Horses takes us through “what peak-time means to him” with his rowdy, rambunctious go at The Mix. Combining high-octane UKG, euphoric house vocals and fiery bass, with tracks from Four Tet, Anish Kumar, The Trip, Mall Grab, Sidney Charles, Silva Bumpa and Riordan. Giddy up!

Yu Su ‘CRACK Mixed at MUTEK Montréal’

Recorded live during her set at last year’s MUTEK Montréal, Yu Su dishes out a trademark, leftfield  blend of mesmerising minimal techno, pumping electro and fizzling bass. Across two-hours the Kaifeng-born, London-based musician showcases her knack for texture-weaving and narrative-building that few can replicate, ranging from heavy, to hypnotic, eerie to breakneck.

Rose Holland vs. Dutchie on SWU.FM

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Bristol DJ and producer Rose Holland threw it back to the productions of her former alias Dutchie, going back-to-back with… well, herself, on SWU.FM. This power hour runs through a myriad of her own garage, dub and grime tracks – entirely made up of original productions, unreleased bangers and remixes.

Slim Soledad ‘The Mix 098’

Taking the reins on this recent instalment of The Mix, Brazil’s Slim Soledad opted for pure speed and energy in an hour-long set. For the very first time, she pulled out many of her own tracks and remixes to make this an almost 100% production mix, “blending them one into the next, which is something I’ve never done before”. As well as unreleased tracks, this mix features baile funk slammers and driving techno cuts, with additions from Dj Babatr, Luiz Santys & Clementaum, and more.

Daphni ‘FOLD, London. Nov 22, 2025. 7hr DJ set’

In this whopper 100+ track mix from Dan Snaith’s end-of-year venture at FOLD under his Daphni alias, the Canadian DJ goes for a more textural approach to club music while paying homage to UK bass. This enormous seven-hour set features many of Daphni’s own tracks, plus underground favourites from Silva Bumpa, Josi Devil, Rhyw, MPH and more.
