Tomu DJ announces upcoming LP 'Half Moon Bay'
Her second album drops next month
Tomu DJ has announced her second album, 'Half Moon Bay', set for release on August 12.
In parallel to the announcement, she has unveiled her latest single 'Optimistic' featuring kimdollars1, acting as a preview for the forthcoming LP.
Other features on 'Half Moon Bay' include fellow regular collaborator blessingsnore, DJ Manny and SUCIA!, crafting a record which continues the dreamlike trance that listeners were immersed into firstly by Tomu DJ's debut album 'FEMINISTA' last year.

'Half Moon Bay' shifts through an ambient soundscape, navigating between somber and uplifting moments. It begins with the aforementioned collaboration with SUCIA! showcasing a house cut, ending on another working with kimdollars1 for a breaks-influenced offering.
Following on from previous releases 'I Hope It's Not My House', 'Sunsets' and 'Morning Groove' of 2022, the album draws inspiration from various global dance genres whilst maintaining the signature melodic ambience associated with Tomu DJ.
With the work of the producer and DJ's creations often dubbed an exploration of "what it means to move through emotional devastation", the tunes selected for 'Half Moon Bay' unsurprisingly align with this, conveying the message that "the weight of existence is best shouldered slowly and steadily".
