21 years in the making, a three-part documentary on the life and work of Kanye West is set for release.
The first trailer for the Netflix released project - titled Jeen-Yuhs - dropped on Saturday. The two-minute snippet shows Mos Def and Kanye singing the lyrics to West’s 2004 released ‘Two Words’.
Netflix reportedly acquired the rights for the documentary for $30 million, after the film had spent nearly two decades in the works, with never-before-seen footage of the rapper and rare clips.

The three-part documentary is set for release in 2022, but Netflix has yet to confirm a specific date. Jeen-Yuhs will take a look at the sensational career of the 44-year-old rapper and more personal accounts, including the death of his mother and unsuccessful run as president.
The documentary is directed by Clarence "Coodie" Simmons and Chike Ozah, better known as Coodie & Chike, who are rumoured to have filmed the rapper since the 90s.
The pair have worked with a number of celebrities on music videos, such as Erykah Badu, Pitbull, Mos Def, and Lupe Fiasco.
The directors' relationship with Kanye is said to set the foundation for the documentary, with their recurring presence throughout the three-part film.
