Owning the label that launched his career is "extremely meaningful" to the rapper

Snoop Dogg has announced that he has bought Death Row Records and says: “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members,”.

In November 2021, Snoop was reported saying on Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast: “I think all of Death Row should be in my hands,”.
