Controversial co-founder of Death Row Records, Suge Knight, says a new documentary about Tupac Shakur will reveal the truth about the late rapper’s death that occurred as a result of a drive-by shooting in 1996.

According to Knight, and as reported by TMZ, he claims he was the target of the 1996 attack and that his ex-wife Sharitha Knight and former security chief of Death Row Records were the masterminds.

Knight decided to come forward after he became aware of “salient points” expressed in the new documentary titled Tupac Assassination III: Battle For Compton. Knight was with Tupac the evening he was killed and apparently the documentary reveals that Knight was the true mark.

Thaddeus Culpepper, the attorney for Knight, described how his client has been aware of the truth “for many years that Reggie Wright Jr. and his ex-wife Sharitha were behind the murder of Tupac and attempted murder of Knight”.

Knight is currently awaiting trial for murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run charges after he killed Terry Carter and injured Cle Sloan in January 2015 when he was driving his SUV in Compton.

In Tupac-related news, Alexander Historical Auctions is hosting the Black Heritage Auction where the nose stud the rapper wore in the cover photo for his iconic album ‘All Eyez On Me’ will be up for auction. A number of personal items that used to belong to the influential rapper will also be available.
