Nicole Moudaber launches a 24-hour charity livestream with Beatport to raise money for Beirut
The first edition takes place today
British-Lebanese producer, event promoter and DJ Nicole Moudaber has teamed up with Beatport, Wild Tulum and Factory People to put together a 24-hour charity livestream event to raise money for Beirut after the devastating explosion that took place in the city.
The first edition of ‘Together For Beirut’ will take place today, Saturday 22 August, from 6pm BST and will be available on Beatport’s Twitch channel.
The second edition will go out on Sunday 13 September from 4pm BST.
Those playing the first edition include Carl Cox, John Digweed, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Louie Vega, and more. The names for the second edition are still to be announced.

The funds raised from ‘Together For Beirut’ will be donated to Impact Lebanon, which is currently supporting local grassroots organisations working on the ground in Beirut, such as the Lebanese Red Cross, Arcenciel, a Lebanese NGO supporting the country’s most marginalised communities, and other local music and arts charities.
Speaking on the need for this event, Nicole Moudaber has said, “These fundraising events will provide much needed relief and support to the people of Beirut and the many affected by the recent tragedy. Officials estimate the explosion caused up to $15bn (£11.5bn) of damage. International financial aid and support has been overwhelming, but it’s not enough. We must support in any way we can to help, and in addition, our efforts will also be helping the music and arts industry of Lebanon which has been wiped out.”
See the full lineup for today’s livestream below, and tune in here at 6pm BST.
