Desert Hearts explores its darker side with new label, Desert Hearts Black
A heavy and haunting music outlet for the colorful Desert Hearts crew
Desert Hearts, the West Coast tech house institution famous for its wildly eccentric parties and peacocking partygoers, has announced the launch of a new subsidiary imprint that aims to venture "into the deeper and darker avenues of electronic music."
Keeping in line with Desert Hearts' core ethos of love and community, the hope is that DH Black will allow the brand to align with the cutting-edge, dark, melodic and psychedelic sounds of tomorrow without compromising the brand's specific aesthetic and vision.
The new creative outlet will be headed up by Desert Hearts founder Marbs and fellow sonic explorer Evan Casey. The pair have linked up with Mixmag MAGNIFIED artist Rinzen to present the imprint's debut EP 'Torus' - a magnificent three-tracker that is "an ethereal and haunting journey into their shared cryptic psyche."
The label launch and EP drop will occur on August 9. To celebrate, Desert Hearts will be hosting a release party in Downtown Los Angeles that will feature label residents and special guests throughout the evening. Secure tickets by going here.
