New club Open Ground opens this weekend in Wuppertal, Germany

The opening weekend will see the likes of Mark Ernestus, Josey Rebelle, Mala, Calibre and more

Wuppertal, Germany, is set to welcome a new nightclub, Open Ground, this weekend.

Set in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of the country, the new space has already announced four upcoming nights.

The venue is a converted bunker consisting of two rooms - Freifeld and Annex - with a capacity of 600 ravers.

Other key features include a 32-inch-bass Funktion-One soundsystem, food available outside, and a 24/7 license.

Set six metres underground, the club was created by Hard Wax staff member Markus Riedel.

For its opening night, on Friday, December 8, Open Ground will have sets from Mark Ernestus, KAT7, Mala, Josey Rebelle, Struktur, Elke and Pretty Sneaky.

The next day the new club will continue the opening celebrations with Arthur, Viola Klein, Calibre, Tasha, Appleblim, DJ Pete and Stenny playing through till 8:AM.

The following weekend has also been announced with the likes of Willow, Akua, Tapes, Al Wootton and more.
