Kanye West's signed ‘DONDA’ vest has sold for $75K at auction

The ‘DONDA’ bulletproof vest said to have been worn by Ye at his album event in Atlanta

Kanye West’s one of a kind signed ‘DONDA’ bulletproof vest has sold as part of a NFT package for $75,000 at a Christie’s auction.

The vest itself was worn in August by Ye during his album listening party in Atlanta and has the DONDA logo hand painted on as well as being signed by Kanye reading “MBD” which stands for “My Body Different”.

The sale was highly publicised as it was selling the vest and a one-of-one NFT which was billed as a3D “digital representation” of the vest that was minted by Ethernity.

The vest, as reported by Complex sold for $20,000 and was said to have originated from a security guard who received as a gift from Ye. The same buyer then resold it at Christie’s auction with the NFT.

As part of Christie’s larger Handbags x HYPE: the Luxury Remix sale, other items sold include a complete collection of Off-White Nikes designed by the late Virgil Abloh for over $62,000 and a set of Yeezy 350s for over $37,000.
