Kanye hired Phantom Labs in 2021 according to Pitchfork to “run a renovation project” in a LA warehouse as well as to produce four Sunday Service events in November 2021 which Phantom Labs claim they have not been paid for either.
Phantom Labs also allege they were also not paid for their involvement with Kanye’s Donda 2 livestream party in Miami which they say they are owed $2.2 million.
According to TMZ, Phantom Labs also claim that they were hit with $1 million in cancellation fees for Kanye cancelling his headline set at Coachella.
“We are incredibly proud of the work that we did with Ye and are disappointed that such a fruitful relationship has come to this,” a spokesperson for Phantom Labs said in a statement to Variety. “A celebrity weaponizing fame and reputation to take advantage of eager collaborators is simply unacceptable.”
