I. JORDAN, FKA India Jordan, announces change to stage name

The artist said they have felt "heavy" carrying around their former stage name

Formerly known as India Jordan, the Doncaster-born artist, DJ, and producer has now announced that they have changed their stage name to I. JORDAN.

“Big announcement news from me: my artist name is now I. JORDAN,” they announced on Twitter on Monday, May 30.

“I’ve been really excited to share this as it’s felt heavy carrying around “India Jordan” when it really doesn’t resonate with me anymore,” they added on Instagram.

Jordan also added that fans will now see I. JORDAN on social media and advertising posts, flyers, and line-ups following the name change.

“From now on, you’ll see “I. JORDAN” on line-ups, posters, all socials and music streaming platforms etc. There might be a bit of lag in the changeover process but hopefully, it won’t be too long before it’s all switched.

“Thanks to everyone who’s been an incredible support during this change over period, to everyone who’s been calling me Jordan without prompt (it’s meant a lot!) and to my team for making this transition as seamless as possible,” they said.

Jordan also announced that they will be taking over at Glasgow's Riverside Festival on the bank holiday weekend. "Me new name all big on a flyer MAKES ME SO EXCITED," they announced on Twitter alongside a poster reading their new stage name, I. JORDAN.

I. JORDAN’s latest release, ‘Admit It (U Don’t Want 2)’ landed in February alongside Fred again.., a collaborative track which saw the producer go toe-to-toe with the Mixmag cover star.
