Fyre Festival attendees may receive a fraction of the previously agreed settlement
Attendees suffer more disappointment at the hands of the ill-fated festival
Fyre Festival attendees continue to have their expectations crushed, as it’s revealed that they may be paid only a fraction of the $7,220 that they settled earlier this year.
It has been found by Young Marr & Associates, a law firm, that attendees may only receive $288.

277 attendees of the festival were set to receive this amount as the result of a lawsuit, filed against the organisers, who falsely advertised the festival to many people, promoting artists such as Major Lazer and many others.
When the festival arrived, tents and pre-packaged food was the only thing offered to festival goers, who had all paid between $1,000 and $100,000 dollars to attend.
Billy McFarland, the organiser, was sentenced to six years in prison in June 2017, while Ja Rule was cleared of wrongdoing in 2019.
