fabric drops 10 mixes to celebrate International Women’s Day

Some have been created especially for the series, while others were recorded live from EC1

London institution fabric has released 10 mixes by female DJs to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The series, ‘IWD23’ is available to listen on fabric’s Soundcloud account, and features the likes of Amaliah, resident Anna Wall, Cooly G, Dr. Rubinstein, Eich and Tia Cousins.

Some of the mixes have been created especially for the series, while others are recordings from nights at the Farringdon venue.

In a statement, fabric wrote: “Dropping especially for International Women’s Day 2023 is a brand new 10 mix series featuring some of the scene’s most formidable and emerging talent.

“Featuring both specially recorded mixes and recorded sets from fabric, the series scopes techno, house, bass and beyond,” it continued.

Tia Cousins announced on Instagram that she would be part of the series, with her set being recorded from the club’s New Year’s Day 2023 party. She wrote: “@fabriclondonofficial kindly asked me to contribute to the podcast series, so here’s the recording from my set on NYD where i played before huns @overmono.”

Amaliah wrote: “new guest mix out today for the wonderful @fabriclondonofficial as part of their new podcast for International Women’s Day.

“very honoured to have been asked to be a part of this and amongst so many incredibly talented women,” she continued. “ducked & dived through the different sounds I’m playing in clubs rn.”

Last week (March 2) fabric announced the second wave of acts for its inaugural edition of EXODUS Festival. The likes of Elli Acula, Anz, Djrum and Shy One were added already announced names including Ricardo Villalobos, Peach, Francesco Del Garda, Seth Troxler, Chloé Robinson and Josh Caffe.
