Eris Drew, Octo Octa and more to play debut festival from Big Dyke Energy

The open-air day party will take place for the first time in Bristol on June 10

Big Dyke Energy are bringing their self-named debut festival to Bristol’s Lakota this summer, headlined by the likes of Octo Octa and Eris Drew.

Taking place on June 10 in the heart of Bristol, Big Dyke Energy’s inaugural festival is set to host Yazzus, LCY, Angel D’lite, Ellie Stokes, and more across the all-day event.

The queer party will run from midday to midnight in an open-air setting and marks the promoter and record label’s first-ever full-scale event of its size, and their first return to Bristol after two years.

Big Dyke Energy announced the debut event on Instagram on Monday along with the first wave of acts set to play. “This is the line-up of our dreams and we can't wait to take over the iconic Lakota for our first open-air party,” they said.

“We're both buzzing to bring the energy and vibe of our London parties to my home city of Bristol and showcase some of the best artists in underground dance music,” says DJ and BDE party boss, who’s also set to play at the debut event.

“It’s a true celebration of diversity and individuality, where the LGBTQIA+ community and allies can come together to feel free!”

To help Big Dyke Energy’s London clubbers get to and from Bristol, buses will stop at both New Cross Gate and Hackney on the morning of the event.

BDE operates as a safe space for queer women, non-binary, and intersex & trans+ people, inviting queer and ally clubbers to join its party with a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of discrimination.
