Dea made his name in Indonesia’s Sun Down Circle collective and from there is now one of the country’s most recognisable DJs with fans including DJ Harvey, Mr. Scruff and Gilles Peterson. Gilles Peterson had said that Dea was the best DJ he’d seen in a decade after watching him spin back in 2017 at Potato Head Beach Club.
This EP is to be his most extensive collection of solo work yet with the track ‘Glazer Drum’ at the forefront.
As an artist that enjoys collaboration, Dea includes Grigoris Nikolaou narrating the track ‘Zaria Sto Chaos’ and Gabber Modus Operandi’s Ican Harem voicing in ‘Mahfudzot’. The EP also finishes with a remix of the track ‘Mahfudzot’ by French producer I:Cube whose best known for trading remixes with Daft Punk in the 90s.
