Bouncers charged for Manchester nightclub attack
Seven bouncers attacked Joe Sharrat, 18, outside Factory 251 last December
Seven bouncers have been charged for an attack on an 18-year-old outside Manchester nightclub Factory 251.
Joe Sharrat, an academy rugby league player for St. Helens, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital after the incident on December 2.
Two of the bouncers - Gareth Carr, 20, and Amjad Yasin, 27, have been charged with assault and affray.
Lee Clark, 41, Imran Ilyas, 40, Mohammed Saleem, 21, Mohammed Abdullah, 30, and Javad Bolagh, 23, have been charged with affray.
All seven have been bailed and are due to appear in Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on April 23.
Professional Security, the firm the bouncers worked for, sacked all employees involved days after the incident. Factory 251 also terminated its contract with the security firm.
Factory 251 was the former home of iconic Manchester label Factory Records.
