Manchester's Factory 251 ceiling collapses on clubbers
The club plans to reopen tonight
Early this morning at the end of a Sunday night out, clubbers at Manchester's Factory 251 were sent into a panic after the ceiling of the venue fell down on the dance floor and forced attendees to hold the ceiling up with their hands.
No one was injured during the fall, but Factory 251 has had issues with the same section of the ceiling before. In 2014, 850 people were evacuated from the four-story building and seven people were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
"The same section that came loose on this exact weekend two years ago,” The venue explained. “At this stage we are uncertain how or why – no one was hurt and the club was evacuated purely as a precaution – there is no structural issue.”
"We were all dancing and we just suddenly had this wooden ceiling panel fall on our heads,” Club goer Tom Foster told Manchester Evening News. “As soon as the ceiling went all the lights smashed and fell on everyone. There was crying and screaming, we were just standing there holding it up, with half the room in darkness.”

Despite the incident, Factory 251 plans to open as usual again tonight, confirmed via a Tweet they shared on their official page poking fun at the new meaning behind "raising the roof" at the club.
