Snooker ledge Steve Davis is playing Bloc weekender

Thom Yorke, Tama Sumo and Omar-S also confirmed for the 2016 edition

Bloc festival is returning to Butlins, Minehead for another techno-filled weekend from March 11–13 2016.

The festival has just revealed its first wave of artist announcements, and it's predictably massive.

Over 50 acts have been locked in so far, with the bill helmed by Thom Yorke, Four Tet, Jeff Mills, Floating Points, Carl Craig, Ben Klock, Nina Kraviz, Omar-S, Evian Christ, Holly Herndon, MCDE, Steffi, Ben UFO and Rødhåd.

Legendary snooker world champion Steve Davis is also appearing, playing his first DJ set at a dance music event. Davis has a show on Brentford's Phoenix FM, playing everything from prog rock to bleeding-edge electronica, once even hosting a guest spot from Surgeon.

There will be back-to-backs between Tamo Sumo and Lakuti, Optimo and Andrew Weatherall, and Blawan and Surgeon will play together as their live project Trade.

Further artists set to appear include Helena Hauff, Jane Fitz, Shanti Celeste, Steevio & Suzybee, Laurel Halo, d:Bridge, Objekt, Bicep, Daniel Avery, Midland, ItaloJohnson, Aurora Halal and Fatima Yamaha.

More additions will be revealed in the coming months.
