Beatnik share their new EP, 'Vol. 2'
It's not just a solo affair - there's some interesting collaborations included too
Scottish-born, London-based sibling duo Beatnik have released their new EP, 'Vol.2'.
The record is a multi-genre affair, and the six tracker explores sounds of drum 'n' bass, R&B, dancehall, rap and electropop.
It follows on from years of the brother and sister pairing's contributions to London's clubs through their Beatnik-themed parties, combined with their global touring, having played Glastonbury Festival, Isle of Wight, and even at parties for megastars Beyoncé and Jay-Z and Jay-Z.

"We have been in a creative bubble, writing & producing new tracks aiming at what we wantto spin in our DJ sets. The EP is a mix of the genres we love: dancehall, hiphop, drum 'n' bassand just good vibes,” said Nikki Beatnik, one half of the duo.
“We collaborated with friends and artists from the UK & US, we had some great studio dayswhere we were all just as creative as possible with the music, adding some catchy hooks— it's very Beatnik," added Statis.
Drum 'n' bass track 'Never So Much' features vocals from songwriter and performer Roystonm who worked closely with Estelle on her LP 'The 18th Day', whilst electro-influenced 'I See Ya' involves Asian Hawk.
