adidas SPEZIAL exhibition launches at British Textile Biennial in Blackburn
Over 1,000 pairs of adidas from past and present will be on display, plus a new unveiling
An exhibition from adidas SPEZIAL will arrive in Blackburn from 4th - 20th October and will feature over 1,000 pairs of adidas footwear, as well as the new Blackburn SPZL.
Taking place at the magnificent Cotton Exchange, the exhibition has been curated by Gary Aspden, the brand consultant and designer of the adidas SPEZIAL range. Featuring shoes from his personal archive alongside those of other fellow adidas collectors, the showcase will feature over 1000 pairs of adidas.
The exhibition will also unveil the adidas Blackburn SPZL (shown below). A 200 pair run of the Nightsafe edition of the adidas Blackburn SPZL will be available exclusively from the exhibition, with all proceeds going to local youth homelessness charity, Nightsafe.
The adidas Blackburn SPZL is the lead release from the upcoming AW19 range, with its green/red colourway is inspired by the red rose of Lancashire and named after the town where Gary spent much of his youth which has been a key inspiration in his work.
A full programme of events including gigs, talks and screenings that will take place within the exhibition - with special guests and friends of adidas appearing too - can be found here.
Tickets for the events will request donations to the Nightsafe charity. Hanon will have a pop-up space in the exhibition retailing Spezial product too.
