ABBA’s ‘Voyage’ has broken the pre-order record in the UK
The record was previously held by Take That's 'Progress'
ABBA’s forthcoming album has broken the pre-order record in the UK.
‘Voyage’, which is due on November 5 via Polydor, received more than 80,000 pre-orders in just three days.
The move means the Swedish supergroup overtake the previous record-holder Take That, according to a statement from Universal UK.

Since their breakthrough with ‘Waterloo’ in 1974, ABBA have amassed a number of records, with nine number one singles and albums in the UK.
In July, the retrospective compilation ‘Gold’ became the only album to reach more than 1,000 weeks on the Official Albums Chart — a figure that amounts to 19 years.
‘Voyage’ is the first release from ABBA after a 39 year hiatus. It is set to add 10 new songs to the already-extensive canon of hits.

Accompanying the LP will be a hologram show in London next year, with a purpose-built theatre specifically designed for the project. Björn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Faltskog, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, the four members of the band, will be projected as younger versions of themselves. Joining the avatars will be a 10-piece live band.
