PC Music will not release any new music after 2023
The label, which has released music from artists such as SOPHIE, 100 gecs and Charli XCX, will focus only on "archival projects and special reissues"
London-based record label and art collective PC Music has just announced that it will cease to release any new music after this year.
The label, which is run by hyperpop producer A. G. Cook, announced the end of its new releases via an Instagram post on Sunday (June 25) — writing: "After a decade of activity, 2023 will be PC Music’s final year of new releases."
"Following that, the label will be dedicated to archival projects and special reissues. We have an undisclosed number of new albums and singles coming very soon," it continued.

PC Music began life in 2013, as a direct to SoundCloud platform, being described by Cook in an interview with Tank Magazine: “The label’s called PC Music, which alludes to how the computer is a really crucial tool, not just for making electronic music but for making amateur music that is also potentially very slick.”
Notions of 90’s pop nostalgia, consumerism, compulsions and 21st century love have become synonymous with the labels sound, who’s roster includes artists Hannah Diamond, Danny L Harle and Hyd.
The label also frequently collaborated with artists such as the late SOPHIE, Kero Kero Bonito and Carly Rae Jepsen. Cook has also embarked on a range of collaborative projects with artists such as 100 gecs and Caroline Polachek, as well as creatively directing projects with Charli XCX .
