YouTube is scrapping its 30-second ads that can't be skipped
No more waiting to watch a video
Those irritating YouTube adverts you can't skip will be no more in 2018.
Currently, 30-second ads on the video streaming site cannot be skipped, but that's all changing next year so it can "focus instead on formats that work well for both users and advertisers," according to a Google spokesperson.
The change doesn't mean all adverts will be scrapped, but users won't have to watch the whole advert in future.
