Another weekend, another illegal rave. Police turned up at unlicensed party in Croydon, South London on Saturday (May 13) and made three arrests.

Around 50 people were looking to get into the party in the former Rileys Snooker Club, with two riot police vans turning up to the scene. Two arrests were for abstracting electricity and one was on suspicion of criminal damage.

The Metropolitan Police said: "At around 10.40pm on Saturday, May 13 police became aware of a large number of people in the area of Frith Road, Croydon.

"It was established that they were attending an unlicensed music event at the former Rileys snooker club in Frith Road. Officers prevented additional people from entering the venue."

Last month 11 arrests were made at a rave in the South Downs
