This house was able to make up to 7,000 ecstasy pills per hour
Police raided it on Sunday afternoon
Police in Ireland have busted a house where up 7,000 ecstasy pills an hour were being made.
The Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (DOCN) led a raid on a property in County Kildare on Sunday, finding an automatic single-punch tablet press pill making machine. It's reckoned it's able to make anywhere from 4,000 to 7,000 pingers per hour.
Enough MDMA powder to make 40,000 pills (with an estimated value of €200,000) in total was seized, as was two kilograms of heroin and one kilo of cocaine.
Three men were arrested at the scene and the police believe the house is owned by the Kinahan cartel.
Assistant Commissioner John O’ Driscoll of Special Crime Operations said: “This operation provides further evidence of the extent of links between Irish based organised crime groups and the international drug trade.
“The Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) has today dealt another blow to those involved in organised crime. Our effort in tackling organised crime is unrelenting and will continue as long as is necessary.”
