Paul Woolford will make a return to his "rugged" Special Request alias with a new album, titled ‘Belief System’, in October.

Comprised of 23 tracks recorded over the past three years, ‘Belief System’ is set to utilise source material from Woolford’s tape archives – dating back to 1993.

According to the press release the project combines “vast layers of atmospherics, unhinged modular work, contact microphone recordings of icebergs cracking, microtonal elements, and the introduction of stark soundtrack pieces”.

The forthcoming project will see the artist return to fabric's Houndstooth label, after releasing his debut album as Special Request, 'Soul Music' on the imprint back in 2013.

‘Belief System’ is out October 13 on Houndstooth, check out the tracklist and first single 'Adel Crag Microdot' below.
