Playboy apparently has a source working on Daft Punk’s production team who says the duo are planning a “major” tour in 2017.

Coming fresh off news that Beyonce cancelled her performance at the upcoming Coachella music festival, rumors of Daft Punk’s return are again beginning to circulate. Many fans hope Daft Punk will be her replacement and Playboy has revealed a confident assertion.

In an article titled We Think We Know Who Will Replace Beyoncé at Coachella, Playboy shared why they can confirm the Daft Punk rumors: “An anonymous source working on Daft Punk’s production has confirmed to Playboy that the Robots are planning a major—and we do mean major—tour this spring. Coachella would be the perfect place to kick it off.”

Although the bit about Coachella is purely speculation which has since been debunked with Lady Gaga announced as Coachella's new headliner, Playboy’s mention of a source on Daft Punk’s production team all but confirms a reunion is coming in the near future. Exciting news for loyal fans who have been eager to witness their favorite robots on the big stage.

Daft Punk’s team has yet to comment on this new development, but if all is as it seems, look for them to announce a string of gigs soon.
