Premiere: The Martinez Bros flip Audion’s ‘Starfucker’ with energetic house

Influential Detroit producer Matthew Dear dons his Audion alias to release the ‘Starfucker’ EP on Hot Creations, which features a techy, rough textured remix from NYC duo The Martinez Brothers.

Throughout Dear’s career he’s brought Audion to the forefront of electronic music with releases on Turbo, Kompakt, Spectral Sound and !K7, releasing his first album in 10 years on the latter imprint in 2016. Now he releases his first EP on Hot Creations with more club-focused material.

Taking on the EP’s title track, The Martinez Brothers inject their signature energetic sound profile into the already gritty original production. The NYC producers have developed a reputation for releasing music that rules over dancefloors around the world and this whimsical take adds another heater to their arsenal.

The ‘Starfucker’ EP features two originals from Audion and another remix from Ian Pooley. Look for it to be released May 26. Purchase here
