Premiere: Textasy flips Spandau Ballet into a romantic club heater

After delivering one of favourite tracks of 2016 with D. Futers’ blissful ‘I Care’, Natural Sciences’ sub-label Dolphin Traxx returns with a double-sided effort from Textasy titled ‘Deep South Bass Cuts’.

The Texan producer debuted on Natural Sciences earlier this year with an EP of spaced-out electro jams titled ‘Off The Leash’.

The A-side of his new outing ‘Déjà Vu Bass (ft. DJ Di’jital)’ heavily samples Spandau Ballet’s new wave classic ‘True’, underpinning its jangly guitar plucks and silky smooth vocals with a robust percussive foundation and bass-loaded, whirring alien noises. One to get you fist-pumping as you slow dance.
