Premiere: Bjarki's 'This 5321' is straight from techno's school of hard knocks

2017 has been a busy year for Iceland’s favourite techno producer Bjarki.

The трип mainstay has founded his own label bbbbbb with Jonny Chrome Silver, released under new alias Cucumb45 and continued to perform his live show across Europe, from The Peacock Society in France to Printworks in London.

Now he’s back on Nina Kraviz’s трип label with a four-track EP of techno treats designed for the dancefloor.

Taken from Bjarki’s expansive archive of unreleased tracks, Kraviz has brought together four tracks of mangled percussion, soaring synths and intense melodies to create a release with purpose.

Bjarki said: “When Nina compiles an EP for you, there’s always a purpose for it in her head, you know she’s up to something and it’s really inspiring to follow as she goes."

The EP's title track ‘This 5321’ is straight out of the school of hard knocks, a belting monster of a track that will hammer it’s way into the hearts of seasoned ravers.
