Plastician has revealed details surrounding his new broadcasting platform, Unreality Journeys.

Posting to Facebook yesterday, shortly after taking to his renowned Rinse FM slot for the final time, he announced: “For the past few months I've been working behind the scenes with a team of talented and creative people to help establish Unreality Journeys as a hub for experimental broadcasting. Together we aim to create a platform that celebrates and broadcasts art in many forms.”

Calling it his “next adventure”, the pioneering producer claimed his next career step would be an “opportunity to take that pirate radio mentality to an entirely new generation - where we once scrambled for tapes to record our shout outs, now listeners will be able to see them inside the virtual environment.”

He added: "This is just the beginning of the journey, the team is constantly thinking of new and exciting ways to deliver entertaining content and I expect you'll be seeing art in many forms very soon."

Plastician is leaving Rinse FM after 14 years at the notable station, and invited the likes of Kareful, Glacci and more in for his emotional final recording.

The first Unreality Journeys broadcast will go live on the Facebook page on August 20 at 8pm BST, with a recording of the radio show available to download via SoundCloud.
