Night Bass in The Lab LA with AC Slater, Jack Beats & Sinden
Catch the Night Bass takeover in The Lab LA on Friday August 14
The Lab Los Angeles is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly post-work unwind where we stream only the finest American and international DJs, direct from our Downtown LA office. This Friday in The Lab we're bringing you Night Bass with AC Slater, Jack Beats and Sinden.
Not only is AC Slater a hometown hero, the LA born and bred DJ/producer has made his mark in dance music all over the world, especially in the UK. He is one of the primary pushers of the UK bass-influenced house movement that has hit the US hard in recent years, creating a serious new wave of dance music-fans in the States. His Night Bass parties have a reputation of going off on any night of the week, so expect the same this Friday in The Lab.
We have a member of the UK-Scottish blended duo Jack Beats stopping by this week. The duo formed in 2006 by one of the Scratch Perverts and one part of The Mixologists. Although it has been said before, these artists really have brought together many genres within the realm of dance music to create their own infectious sound. They have a FabricLive compilation and Essential Mix in the bag, an unbelievably lengthy list of remixes as well as releases on Rat Records, Deconstruction, Cheap Thrills and most recently OWSLA.
Joining AC and Jack Beats will be Sinden, a flavorful bass-y house artist who's been delivering UK sounds to the US scene ever since his move from London to LA two years ago. He understands the crossroads where the US scene finds itself and he's here to guide.
On opening duties will be LA-based dj, producer & songwriter DZZY.
The Lab LA is strongly powered by Void Acoustics. Watch these artists throw down in The Lab LA below or via MixmagTV.
Sinden and AC slater have an EP out together called 'Not No Love'.
AC Slater just released his EP 'Take the Night' via OWSLA, which you can buy here.
