The band uploaded the virtual reality 'Saturnz Barz' on March 23 and it clocked up over three million plays in the first 48 hours, the most ever for a VR video. It's now sitting on over five million.

Damon Albarn and co. have snatched the record from Russian band УСПЕШНАЯ ГРУППА.

'Humanz' is out on April 28 and Gorillaz host the Demon Dayz Festival in Margate on June 10.
