12 people suffer burns from a "noxious substance" at London venue Mangle E8
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene
Mangle E8 in London was evacuated in the early hours of this morning (April 17) due to a suspected noxious substance.
Ten people suffered minor burns, being treated by ambulance crews outside the Sidworth Street venue, while another two took themselves to a nearby hospital. Police say the injuries are not life threatening.
Sky News reports that 600 people attended the LOVEJUICE event, but 400 were in the building when police were called.
A Metropolitan Police statement said: "Police were called to a licensed premises in Sidworth Street, Dalston, at approximately 1.10hrs on 17 April, after members of the public complained of a noxious substance.
"London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene."
The police also say an investigation is underway.
