"The last time I played for Carl [Cox] at Space will probably become my dearest memory. Heidi closed her set with Prince's 'Controversy'. I never saw so many camera phones on at once filming anything. Carl and Heidi were dancing in the booth before Carl took to the decks. I had never seen Carl dance like that before. Super happy and excited, so much love. Everyone had such a great time. From there I went on to DJ the other room right after, I was so emotional and overwhelmed and I'm grateful they let me extend my set for another hour and a half. I did not want to say goodbye to that place. Carl and the whole team were amazing. Carl and I ran through a ton of memories over the years and kinda got choked up a bit knowing Space was coming to a close soon. But knowing Carl, it's only the beginning of something even better. He's incredible as a DJ but even more as a great friend and a beautiful person."

"In the 90s, when I had my dreadlocks, I was supposed to play, but got stuck at the main entrance having a confrontation with one of the door guys who refused to let me enter. He thought I was a drug dealer because of my dreadlocks. I had my records ready to play but no ID, so they simply wouldn't let me in. It was before cell phones so I had to go back to my hotel and call the promoter, who couldn't believe it. 30 minutes later I came back to the club and was finally allowed in to play on the terrace."
