Will Stormzy be picked to perform at the royal wedding?

After Prince Harry revealed to the public that he is a fan of UK grime sensation Stormzy, new reports show that Stormzy may possibly be tapped to perform at the forthcoming royal wedding.

According to a report from The Daily Star, Stormzy’s odds for booking the performance land at 5 to 1 - alongside other famous musicians such as Elton John, The Spice Girls, Sam Smith and The Foo Fighters.

Stormzy offered to perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Windsor Castle wedding back in November 2017, promising to lend his talents so long as he could “get an invite."

The news comes at an interesting time for the lauded UK artist. Recently winning the award for “Best British Male Solo Artist” at the 2018 BRIT Awards, the ceremony also included a politically charged freestyle which he aimed at Theresa May for her lack of action following the Grenfell tower tragedy.

The callout struck a chord with the British public and prompted a response from Downing Street the following day.

Back in January, a local DJ handed Prince Harry his business card in the hopes of getting booked to play at this royal affair. Sorry mate, you are going up against some serious musical titans. The after-party perhaps?
