Stormzy calls out Theresa May and Daily Mail in powerful Brits performance

Stormzy had a successful night at the Brits yesterday, picking up the award for Best British Male Solo Artist.

He also stole the show in the performance stakes, executing a blistering politically-charged freestyle inbetween renditions of ‘Blinded By Your Grace Pt. 2’ and ‘Big For Your Boots’.

Standing topless beneath a cascade of water, Stormzy hit out at Theresa May, asking: “Theresa May, where’s that money for Grenfell?”.

He added: “What, you thought we just forgot about Grenfell? You criminals / And you got the cheek to call us savages, you should do some jail time, you should pay some damages / We should burn your house down and see if you can manage this.”

The goosebump-inducing freestyle also swiped at the Daily Mail (“Someone tell the Daily Mail they can suck my _”) and referenced Daniel Kaluuya’s recent BAFTA win.
