UFO95 lands on Tresor to announce 'Backward Improvement' EP
Lead track 'Cogitor' is available now, with the full record released on March 8
UFO95 has announced his forthcoming EP, 'Backward Improvement', set for release on March 8.
Housed on the seminal Tresor Records, lead track 'Cogitor' is available now, with the cut comprising one of six which draw upon the classics of the techno genre as the EP's title implicitly references such influences.
Think a less-is-more tackle: stripped down and unrelating techno carved out from a UFO95 live set.

Now only performing live sets, deliberate loops and repetition are prominent in UFO95's productions from the outset and throughout, paying homage to Tresor's discography spanning works from Detroit and Berlin, to Birmingham and Edinburgh.
"I see this EP as the first 'chronicle' of my sound going back to where I come from, music wise," he tells Mixmag. "Always inspired and passionate about techno from the 90’s, early 00’s, it’s a dream coming true and a full circle moment for me to release on Tresor.”
Accompanying the launch is a teaser clip, which UFO95 describes as "a little extract of the full A/V live we are working on with visual artist Lei. The focus is on minimalist, textured and abstract synced algorithm noises". Check it out below:
