Tune in to a 24-hour+ livestream in support of Singapore nightlife
The fundraiser stream commences this weekend on Friday, March 11
Over 21 of Singapore’s top DJs are coming together this weekend to host a livestream in support of the city’s nightlife scene.
#SaveMusicSG is a campaign to save nightlife in Singapore which has now currently been at a standstill since the beginning of the pandemic in April 2020. Almost two years in, the campaigners are now hoping to spark a conversation in the hopes to reopen nightclubs.
The Home Stream will take place this weekend over the course of 24+ hours kicking off at 5:PM (GMT+8) on Friday, March 11, and will continue until 4:AM (GMT+8) on Sunday, March 13.

The 24h+ livestream features a line-up of Singapore local artists who are set to play across a number of different venues in the city, including Mandala, Rumours Beach Club, Rebel Decibel Warehouse, Kult Kafe and the Skyline Bar at the Parkroyal Marina Bay.
#SaveMusicSG’s Kavan Spruyt, who also works behind the label Midnight Shift, told Mixmag Asia:
“Beyond the economic impact (for people and venues), this concerns the cultural fabric of Singapore and has left a void in an industry-driven largely by passion, within a nation that preaches that passion makes anything possible.”

Current frustrations sweeping through the Singapore music industry are felt particularly by those maintaining high rent prices on venues, and DJs who haven’t been booked for a gig in some 700 days.
The line-up for this weekend includes Kevin Sy, Kaye, Sivanesh, Zig Zach, Adrian Wee, Matty Wainwright, Brendon P, Jeremy Boom, James Selva, Erwin Linden, Arman Anand, Huntersson, Zafirah, Tom Shellsuit, Darren M, AL:X, The Weatherman, DJ KFC and Aldrin.
Catch the stream via Mixmag Asia, Singapore Community Radio, or United We Stream Asia, and follow Mixmag Asia’s Mixcloud for updates on the livestream.
