TSHA drops new track ‘Dancing In The Shadow’ from upcoming LP

TSHA has released another new track ‘Dancing In The Shadow’ from her upcoming album, ‘Capricorn Sun’ out October 7.

The new single features vocals from Clementine Douglas and is the third release from the album prior to the official drop.

Previously released tracks include, ‘Giving Up’ which features partner Mafro and most recently, ‘Water’ with vocals from GRAMMY-award-winning Malian Griot artist Oumou Sangaré.

'Capricorn Sun' is set to showcase TSHA's signature blend of emotive house hooks and punchy pop, with features from Clementine Douglas, NIMMO, Mafro and Oumou Sangaré.

Much of the record is inspired by TSHA herself, being a Capricorn: “I like to identify with some of the positive characteristics of a Capricorn: the hardiness and the work ethic… but also the sensitivity,” she explains.

“Naming the album ‘Capricorn Sun’ was a good way of saying ‘this is me’”. It’s a theme that carries through the album’s creativity and artwork, which features several pygmy goats that are “a visual representation of the different parts of me, like the songs on the album, represent different parts of me.”

After making both her Mixmag cover and Lab debuts last year, as well as dropping her EP 'OnlyL' she's since gone on to create her very own fabric presents mix, which dropped earlier this year, in May.

The compilation includes everything from, ‘90s dance, to house, to techno, to UKG, to soul, to bass — showcasing her ingenuity as a selector, meandering between fresh club cuts with classic rave euphoria.

With a focus on spotlighting emerging artists, in the same way Bonobo highlighted her track 'Sacred' in his fabric presents compilation in 2018, TSHA compiled a list of some of the most exciting production talent-making electronic right now for Mixmag — check them out here.
