Trent Reznor to score HBO's forthcoming 'Watchmen' series
HBO revamps the famous graphic novel
Esteemed musician, electronic innovator and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has teamed up with musician Atticus Ross to provide the score for HBO's new Watchmen series.
Based on the famous graphic novel by Alan Moore, which saw a movie adaptation in 2009, the new Watchmen series will land on HBO in 2019. In a statement about the forthcoming show, director Damon Lindelof said that the series plans to "embrace the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own” by introducing "new faces" and "new masks to cover them."
The new Watchmen revamp will star Oscar-winners Jeremy Irons and Louis Gossett Jr. along with celebrated actors such as Regina King, Don Johnson, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Tim Blake Nelson and Andrew Howard among others.
Both Reznor and Ross have teamed up to score major blockbusters in the past, such as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl and The Social Network, the latter of which earned the pair an Oscar for Best Original Score in 2011.
