Trance Wax announces sophomore album, shares 'Rhythm Of The Night' bootleg

Trance Wax has announced his second album, 'Open Up The Night'.

Whilst the record is not set for release until September 29, this week's announcement was accompanied by the official digital release of the DJ and producer's 'Rhythm Of The Night' bootleg, the fifth single to drop ahead of the album.

“I always believed in this record and still get a buzz from playing it and seeing other people play it,” he says on the track. It’s been so heavily requested as a digital release since I put it out on Trance Wax Seven, so I really want to thank Corona for allowing me to officially share it with the world.”

With the album's titular track, 'Aslan', 'Adeya' and 'Love Me Higher' already released, this second instalment from the alias of Ejeca marks a shift towards uptempo, dancefloor-focused trance beats.

“Listeners can expect a switch-up in BPM compared with the last album,” he explains. “It's a reflection of what I love listening to, be it trance or other genres. “There’s some drum and bass influences woven in as well as a bit of breakbeat, which adds a new dimension to the whole thing. It’s the product of a good few years of experimentation that resulted in something really fast and exciting.”

Negating through 16 tracks of nostalgic, yet forward-thinking trance, the album embodies Trance Wax's own interpretation of a genre he has been immersed in for years — and prefaces the launch of his debut live audiovisual show at London's Village Underground on September 30.
