There's a new crime drama series set in Berlin's underground techno scene
The lead character is said to be "addicted to drugs, sex and the nightlife"
Berlin's underground club scene is the backdrop of a new crime drama series titled Beat, which is set to arrive via Amazon Prime this month.
The story revolves around a club promoter named Robert “Beat” Schlag who loves to rave, is addicted to drugs, sex and the nightlife of Berlin. He also works at what is described "Berlin's most famous techno club". Schlag gets recruited by the European Secret Services to go undercover and expose a human-organ trafficking ring that is operating within the city's gritty nightclub scene. As the synopsis states, "he soon discovers the shocking extent of corruption in his close network and also his personal limits.
Beat will be streaming on Amazon Prime beginning November 9.
