The Chemical Brothers release the robots in the 'Free Yourself' music video

'Free Yourself' is the newest track from The Chemical Brothers, marking their first original piece of music since 'C-h-e-m-i-c-a-l' in 2016.

With its deep grooves and searing synths, 'Free Yourself' has already proved to be a highlight in the duo's live sets at festivals across Europe this summer.

Today, The Chemical Brothers have released a music video eight months in the making for the new single. Directed by Dom&Nic, a creative duo that has worked with The Chemical Brothers for over 20 years, the six-minute video tells the story of factory robots freeing themselves and letting loose on the dancefloor.

In creating this new video, directors Dom&Nic ask the question: "Why would artificial intelligence behave any different to humans discovering music and dance for the first time? We’ve all seen humans dancing brilliantly like robots, we’ve also seen robots dancing brilliantly like robots, but you’ve never seen robots dancing badly like humans."

In 2019, The Chemical Brothers will be headlining All Points East Festival at Victoria Park in East London. Learn more here
