The Beat Hotel locks in Jamie XX and Seth Troxler
Get down at Glasto's hottest dance joint
Glastonbury’s The Beat Hotel has announced its full billing. Safe to say, it’s a lineup to rival any other across the 1,000 acre festival.
Thursday will see Palms Trax, Young Marco and Hunee kick off proceedings alongside Mixmag’s very own Funster. Friday will feature sets from Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, Heidi and a special back-to-back between Moscoman and Life and Death head-honcho DJ Tennis.
Saturday will see Throwing Shade soundtrack the setting sun, before Space Dimension Controller, Fort Romeau and Metronomy take to the decks. On Sunday, Jamie XX (pictured) takes over proceedings, curating a closing lineup that features a back-to-back session between Call Super and De School’s Job Jobse. There’s also a rare DJ set from Sampha, and sets from Seth Troxler and up-and-comer Peggy Gou.
Dance music at Glastonbury has traditionally been confined either the South-East Corner or Silver Hayes. However, if this lineup is proof of anything, it’s that the influence of dance music has spread from those designated nightlife spots and begun to permeate the entire festival.
