The Ballroom Blitz has announced details of a 30 hour stream on Radio Alhara, raising money for Haven For Artists. The activist community is helping rebuild destroyed homes and provide food for people who’ve lost jobs in the wake of the devastating explosion in Beirut.
It marks the first instalment in a series of fundraising events The Ballroom Blitz will program on Radio Alhara, growing its monthly five hour residency to a more extensive slot with the objective of fundraising for transparent peer to peer relief for Beirut.
The stream starts on Friday morning and runs for 30 hours through to Saturday afternoon.
It features a number of Lebanese and international artists, including Kode9, Onra, Jessika Khazrik, TSVI, Wallwork, Ikonika, Hatem Imam, Scratch Dva, Mufti, Ribal Rayess, and more.
The Ballroom Blitz said: “We’d like to thank Lebanese artists, whom despite suffocating circumstances have contributed in the best way they can. Moreover a lot of love to the international artists who’ve shown support without question. We hope we can return the favor in better circumstances.”
