System Records launches its Summer Series

System Records has launched its 'Summer Series', in which a new single will be released weekly throughout the summer.

By September 1, there will be a VA compilation culminated, entitled 'System Summer Series', available digitally and on System-branded USBs, too. The USBs will include two secret tracks available physically only.

Each track - including the title and artist - will only be unveiled on the day of release, with all tracks having already been "road-tested".

Label boss Dance System explains how each track comes from a different artist - some are new producers, others more established: “With the Summer Series, we’re dropping tracks from some new talent I’ve been developing, alongside some friends of the label," he says.

"All of these tunes have been heavily road-tested by myself over the last few months, and really encapsulate the System Records sound. Platforming new talent is what running a label is all about for us, and I can’t wait to share all this music with the world!”

Two singles have already dropped - this week, Kristin Velvet's 'Beats On The Rocks' was unveiled, which Fatboy Slim has coined as "dirty sexy filthy fun".

Last week's release was Jamie Unknown's 'The Drumz', which was supported by DJ and broadcaster Sarah Story and Mixmag's 2021 DJ Broadcaster of the Year Jaguar.

Alongside the full release, the label is also running a series of limited edition summer t-shirts which features the "mascot" for the Summer Series, 'Melted Poochi'.
